Start with the current onsite sewage page
Kittitas County Public Health handles onsite sewage permitting and installer/pumper licensing. Its current Environmental Health page links application forms, an OSS permitting checklist, as-built/record-drawing forms and the county’s online permit portal. Use those live links for the current documents.
Request a current provider list
The current county page directs readers to email Public Health for an up-to-date installer and pumper list. An older downloaded directory is not confirmation of current status. Ask the county about status and ask the business separately about drainfield repair scope, coverage and availability.
Ask which steps apply to your project
The county describes site evaluation, design, permit issuance and final inspection as separate stages. Ask Environmental Health which stages and documents apply to your particular repair or replacement. Do not assume an installation checklist alone answers every repair question.
Gather existing records
Our preparation checklist is simple: keep the property address or parcel information, documents you already hold and your problem description together. Ask whether county records are available. The county’s public-records page explains how to request records that are not available on its website. Availability for an individual property has not been checked here.
- Existing permit or installation documents, if available.
- Design or record drawing already in your possession.
- Inspection and maintenance reports.
- Earlier repair proposals and a dated description of the current concern.
Use the portal for its stated purpose
The county’s public portal provides access to applications/inspection results and parcel information. Follow the county’s own directions for the service you need. This website does not submit applications, schedule county inspections or guarantee that historical septic records are online.
