Plan a useful conversation.
This site does not receive repair requests or assign contractors. Start with the repair guide and official county resources, then contact a provider of your choice.
Find county resourcesGather the useful essentials
Keep the first description brief and factual. You can provide more detail after confirming who will assess the property.
- Town or nearest community and ZIP code.
- What changed, where you noticed it and when it started.
- Any available system design, inspection, pumping or repair records.
- Questions about what the initial evaluation includes and how findings will be explained.
Check the provider’s fit
Ask the business directly whether it evaluates the concern you describe and covers the property. General septic work, connecting-pipe repairs and work on the absorption area are different scopes. Confirm the work it is willing to consider and its availability.
Before you schedule
Clarify the initial visit’s scope and any charge, what findings or report you will receive, and how later work would be proposed. Keep the evaluation and construction decisions separate. A conversation alone is not a construction agreement.
Find the official local starting point
The county’s current onsite sewage page provides program information, forms and instructions for obtaining a current installer and pumper list. The public portal and records-request page serve different purposes. Follow the county’s current directions for the information you need. This independent website does not submit applications or schedule county inspections.
